FINE IMPOSED ON RAJASTHAN ROYALS PLAYERS IN CSK vs RR MATCH:
SANJU SAMSON
Sanju Samson, captain of the team Rajasthan Royals, was fined an amount of ₹12 lakh after his team maintained a slow over rate in CSK vs RR match. Team Rajasthan Royals as per a press release by IPL have been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during their Indian Premier League 2023, match 17 against Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday.
Further the release stated that as it was the team’s first offense of this IPL season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate, captain Sanju Samson will be fined a sum of ₹12 lakh.
The fine would be probably meaning nothing but a caution for Samson. It is just because he is in joy and satisfaction of smashing CSK for the first time in Chepauk since 2008. And they did it in elegance by denying a legend MS Dhoni a six or a to be four in the final ball of the match. RR walked away with a three-run win against CSK.

Major credits must go to Sandeep Sharma for his two yorkers. One of them was an outside off-stump to Jadeja and the other one was to Dhoni. It was just when CSK needed 6 runs from 2 balls. This was his action after Dhoni had smashed him for two sixes in the same over earlier.
This victory took Rajasthan Royals to the top of the points table of IPL 2023 with three wins in four matches. The best side is that the performance on paper has so far been delivered on the field too. Samson, who got dismissed for a two-ball duck, would now hope to get back amongst runs.
